Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku speaks on his future

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has opened the door to staying with Inter Milan next season.

The Belgium international rejoined the Nerazzurri on loan last summer but he has struggled to find consistency.

The 29-year-old has just nine goals from 26 outings but he remains hopeful of returning to the club next season.

He said: "Yes, but guys you have to pay attention to those things. My goal is to give my best for Inter."

Lukaku will return to Stamford Bridge during the summer. Inter don't have any option to buy him as part of the deal.

Chelsea have yet to make any decision over his future but there are suggestions that he could play for them again.

Mauricio Pochettino is set to be confirmed as the new Blues boss and he is expected to speak personally with Lukaku.

The Argentine manager is prepared to open the door for the Belgian star to revive his career with the Blues next season.
