Man Utd goalkeeper suffers season-ending injury
Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson has been ruled out for the rest of the campaign with a thigh injury.
The Englishman joined Nottingham Forest on loan last summer but he has not played for them since January.
He was initially anticipated to miss eight weeks with a grade two injury but his condition appears much more serious.
The shot-stopper is now expected to undergo a surgery and this is set to sideline him for another three months.
The news will come as a huge blow for United, who have been planning to offload him in the next transfer window.
Henderson does not want to play second fiddle to David de Gea next season and plans to leave United for good.
However, that could be delayed until January next year, suppose he does not make his recovery by early August.
Clubs may not be willing to take a risk with him unless he can prove his fitness over a certain period of time.
