Chelsea will not block Thiago Silva's exit
Chelsea will not block the departure of Thiago Silva at the end of the season, according to The Telegraph.
The Brazilian has spent the past four seasons with the Blues but he is now considering his future at the club.
He agreed a new deal until June 2024 last year but the centre-back is now keen on returning to his homeland.
He has a contract offer from his former club Fluminense and reports claim that the Blues could allow him to move on.
The 38-year-old is expected to speak with the Blues' hierarchy soon and he could be released shortly after May 28.
The Blues have another three games left in the Premier League campaign.
The final one of those will be at Stamford Bridge on May 28. They will entertain high-flying Newcastle United.
Hopefully, the players will send Silva away on a positive note with a win. It has been a forgettable season for the Blues.
Chelsea are currently 11th in the table with just 43 points.
