Chelsea make transfer decision on Victor Osimhen

Chelsea have reportedly cooled their interest in signing Napoli striker Victor Osimhen in the summer transfer window.

The Blues are expected to land a new striker this summer and Osimhen has been linked with them on multiple occasions.

However, they have yet to make any contact with his entourage and Football Insider claim that a deal is highly unlikely now.

The west London giants have spent over £600 million on recruits since last summer and they need to recoup funds to buy.

With this in mind, they have no plans to meet the £140m price tag to pursue the services of Osimhen from the Italian giants.

Meanwhile, it is also doubtful whether Osimhen will consider a switch to Stamford Bridge after their horrendous season.

The Blues look set to finish in the bottom half of the standings and they are assured to be without any form of European football.

Osimhen may prefer to join a title-winning or challenging side over a club which is under transition under a new manager.
