Frank Lampard confirms fresh Chelsea injury blow for Man City clash
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has confirmed a fresh injury blow ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash against Manchester City.
The Blues will be aiming to return to winning ways against the Cityzens this weekend and ahead of the game, they have suffered another setback.
Benoit Badiashile recently picked up a groin injury in training and Lampard has confirmed that he won't be involved in the travelling squad.
He said: "Benoit injured himself in training two days ago, his groin, and will miss the game. We’re assessing that now as we speak."
Chelsea are currently on 43 points for the season. They are currently on course for their worst-ever tally in a Premier League campaign.
The club will start as huge underdogs against City on the road on Sunday. A defeat would guarantee Pep Guardiola's side the league title.
The Cityzens are aiming to win the English top-flight crown for the third-straight season. They could end the season with a continental treble.
