Chelsea determined to sign Champions League finalist
Chelsea are determined to land Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana during this summer's transfer window.
The west London giants are looking for an upgrade on Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy in goal. Onana is regarded as the top target.
They have already proposed multiple swap deals for the Cameroonian and it is now claimed that they will offer Mateo Kovacic for him.
However, the Nerazzurri are expected to snub the proposal as they are leaning towards keeping their goalkeeper for the 2023/24 season.
Inter wanted to sell Onana to ease their financial woes but they are now set to benefit financially. They are close to a top-four league finish.
Hence, Chelsea face an uphill battle to land the former Ajax man. They may need to pay a hefty fee in the region of €50m to prise him away.
Anything less may not convince the Nerazzurri who have been superb over the past few weeks. The club have reached the Champions League final.
