United make fresh Mount proposal

Manchester United have made a fresh bid of £55 million for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.

The Red Devils are eager to sign Mount from the Blues this summer, but they are yet to strike an agreement.

After two failed bids of £40m and £50m, they have now made a renewed £55m offer for him.

Chelsea are yet to respond, but there is a feeling that United could walk out if their latest proposal is rejected.

United are reluctant to overpay for the Blues graduate, considering he has a year left on his current contract.

Mount has made it clear that he does not wish to renew, and the Blues are under pressure to sanction his sale.

It is highly likely that the Blues will come to an agreement with United after the latest transfer proposal.

Mount has already agreed personal terms with United and the transfer could be a formality once the fee is sorted.

Chelsea may look to finalise the deal before June 30 such that they can register the profits in the current financial year.
