South American star welcomes Chelsea transfer interest
South American star welcomes Chelsea transfer interest
Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo has invited the transfer interest from Chelsea this summer.
The Ecuadorian star was determined to leave the Seagulls in the January transfer window amid interest from Arsenal.
He handed in a transfer request to the hierarchy, but the South Coast outfit made it clear that he won't be sold by them.
The Seagulls are now willing to sell him this summer, and Caicedo has now welcomed the transfer interest in his services.
"It's a very great emotion," He told Maria Jose Flores. "What guy wouldn't want them to be talking about him? I know how to handle it."
Chelsea have entered talks with Brighton for the youngster after agreeing personal terms, but a deal won't be easy to pull off.
Brighton want £100 million for the highly-rated star after witnessing Arsenal pay a similar fee to land Declan Rice from West Ham United.
Caicedo signed a new long-term contract with the Seagulls earlier this year, and they could keep him if Chelsea don't make a good proposal.
