Arsenal planning to re-enter talks for Aston Villa star?
Arsenal are reportedly looking to revive their interest in signing Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz this summer.
The Brazilian came on the verge of joining the Gunners from Villa last year, but manager Steven Gerrard blocked the move.
With just hours before the transfer deadline, Gerrard was reluctant to lose a key player without a proper replacement.
Luiz went on to sign a new long-term contract, but this has not ended the speculation over his future with the Villans.
According to The Sun, the Gunners could battle it out with Spurs to land the Brazil international in the coming weeks.
Luiz had agreed personal terms with Arsenal last summer, and the same should be a formality in the current window.
However, the bigger concern would be to convince Villa. Villa refused an offer worth £25m from the Gunners last year.
The Midlands outfit could easily demand double the price for their Player of the Year after he penned a new contract.
