Chelsea to make move for Celtic midfielder Matt O'Riley?

Matt O'Riley is a target for Chelsea this summer, as the 22-year-old could depart Parkhead in favour of a move back to England. The 22-year-old central midfielder began his career at Fulham and spent 11 years at Craven Cottage, before making a move to MK Dons fo ra season, and a transfer to Celtic followed in 2022.
An extremely impressive first season in Scotland with Celtic has caught the eye of Chelsea's scouting network, who are now weighing up a £15 million move for the Denmark under-21 international. Hounslow born O'Riley has appeared for England's under-16 and under-18 sides, but recently declared his intent to play for Denmark's national side, nationality he acquired through his mother's country of birth.
Last season in the Scottish Premiership, O'Riley appeared 32 times and scored 3 goals, the season prior to that he played just six months and scored four goals in 16 games. If a move to Chelsea does transpire, he is expected to be an important member of the Blues' reserve team squad ahead of the upcoming season, but manager Mauricio Pochettino is so impressed with the youngster's progression at Celtic, that he could be even given a Premier League opportunity in 2023/24 if a move is completed.
