Tottenham make shock move to sign Chelsea star
Tottenham Hotspur have made a shock move to sign Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah before tonight's transfer deadline.
The north London giants have had a good start to the campaign with seven points from their first three Premier League games.
They are aiming to bolster their squad further, and it seems they are eyeing more than one signing before the window closes.
Spurs are currently on the cusp of landing Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest, and are now keen on signing Chalobah too.
However, a transfer could be difficult to pull off. The Blues are reportedly reluctant to negotiate a deal with their London rivals.
Forest agreed a deal to sign Chalobah earlier today, but the central defender rejected the proposal. He could now stay at Chelsea.
Chalobah was hoping to join Bayern Munich on loan, but that won't happen with the German transfer window having closed.
The Blues graduate has been nursing an injury this season, but he is anticipated to return to action after the international break.
