Arsenal star to earn over £200k-a-week with new deal?

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard could earn more than £200,000-a-week after signing a new contract with the club.

The Norwegian star has been a fantastic performer for the Gunners over the past few seasons. Last campaign, he netted 15 goals and provided seven assists in the Premier League.

He has continued the brilliant form this term with two more league goals, and Football Insider claim that the Gunners hierarchy are in advanced talks with him over a new long-term deal.

Odegaard recently said that he wishes to stay at the club for a long time, and his wish could be granted soon with a bumper contract. He is currently on a weekly salary of £120,000.

The former Real Madrid attacker stands to earn more than £200,000-a-week with a long-term deal. He could become one of the top-five earners at the Gunners in the near future.

Arsenal resume their Premier League campaign after the international break with an away game at Everton on Sunday. Odegaard is expected to start in his preferred number 10 role.
