Mauricio Pochettino reacts after Nicolas Jackson's suspension
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has said that Nicolas Jackson needs to learn after picking up five yellow cards from the opening six Premier League games.
The Senegal international joined the Blues from Villarreal with huge hype over the summer, but he has struggled to make a reasonable impact until now.
Jackson has scored just one goal versus Luton. In the rest of the league games, he has missed big chances and has been yellow-carded in each of those.
The striker picked up his fifth booking of the top-flight campaign on Sunday and he is now suspended for the visit of Fulham on Monday, October 2nd.
Speaking after the 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa, Pochettino said that he spoke about it before the game and Jackson needs to show better discipline on the field.
He said: "We were talking, we need to grow up like a team. Nico is young and is feeling the Premier League. Football is about winning but players when they are young need to learn."
