Arsenal midfielder suffers hamstring injury on loan
Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga has picked up a hamstring injury during his ongoing loan spell at Luton Town.
The Belgium international was deemed surplus to requirements by the Gunners last summer, and he was sent out on loan to Luton.
Lokonga has started in the last two league games for the newly-promoted side, but he will now spend time on the sidelines.
He sustained a hamstring injury in the 1-1 draw against Wolves and tests reveal that he will be out of action for two months.
The 23-year-old was described as one of the best defensive midfielders in Belgium during his early years with Anderlecht.
However, he has struggled to replicate those performances since his move to Arsenal and his future could be away from the club.
Lokonga will be hoping to recover from his latest injury setback as soon as possible such that he can prove his credentials.
The Gunners will also be hoping that the midfielder shines at Luton such that they can recoup some of the fee spent on him.
