Jurgen Klopp confirms injury blow for Liverpool star

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Andy Robertson will be sidelined for a while after a setback on international duty.

The left-back dislocated his shoulder while playing for Scotland vs Spain last week and he was allowed to return to Liverpool.

The tests have revealed that he would require a surgery and Klopp has confirmed that he will be out for a prolonged period.

The news is bad news for the Reds, considering they don't have the same quality in the left-back spot when Robertson is out.

Kostas Tsimikas is the immediate back-up in the first-team squad, but he has been unconvincing in the club's shirt over recent years.

The Greek has the knack of getting out of position and he has a huge job ahead in deputising for the Scotland captain in the XI.

Elsewhere, Cody Gakpo has returned to full training and he could be in line to feature against Everton in the Merseyside derby.
