Man Utd midfielder could return to face Newcastle

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro could make his injury comeback against Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup tomorrow.

The Red Devils suffered a heavy 3-0 Premier League defeat to Manchester City over the weekend and they will be aiming to redeem themselves.

The club host the Magpies in the League Cup fourth round tomorrow and ahead of the game, they could be handed a timely injury boost.

Casemiro missed the derby with an ankle issue. He was doubtful for the game and Erik ten Hag eventually did not pick him in the matchday squad.

The decision surprised many of the club's supporters and in our opinion, he could be back in the matchday squad to face the Magpies.

Casemiro has had a mixed start to the current campaign, but he is undoubtedly United's best option in the number six role.

His return would be a huge boost for the Red Devils ahead of the clash against the Magpies, who beat them comfortably last time around.
