Barcelona leading race to sign Arsenal & Chelsea target

Barcelona are reportedly leading the race to sign Arsenal & Chelsea target Gabriel Moscardo next year.

The Gunners have since joined the race for the 18-year-old, but Barcelona are now moving into pole position.

The Catalans have held talks with the player's representatives and they are aiming to lure him next summer.

Chelsea are prepared to make a fresh approach this winter, but the La Liga giants feel they are better placed.

The Blaugrana won the La Liga title under Xavi and the Spaniard has developed several young talents.

The same has not been the case with the Blues, who finished mid-table during the previous league season.

They have purchased several young talents from across the world but have yet to find the cohesion on the field.

Hence, Moscardo could give preference to the Blaugrana over the Blues. Arsenal have yet to make any approach.
