Chelsea to sell Benoit Badiashile in January

Chelsea could reportedly sell Benoit Badiashile when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

The Frenchman joined the west London giants from Monaco last winter and he was impressive for them until his hamstring injury.

He has yet to make an appearance this term after a recurrence of the same problem but is anticipated to return before the New Year.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the centre-back could head for the exit door this winter with strong interest from AC Milan.

The Rossoneri are facing an injury crisis in central defence and they are keen on signing a top-class player on loan with a buy clause.

Badiashile is one of the names on their radar and the Blues could grant his departure, considering the options within the squad.

Thiago Silva, Axel Disasi and Levi Colwill are currently the top three choices in the role. Badiashile could be the fourth pick.

The Frenchman may not accept a reduced role in the squad and this could pave the way for his departure in the next transfer window.
