Chelsea & Arsenal vying to sign Feyenoord striker?

Chelsea and Arsenal could go head-to-head to sign Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez during the January transfer window.

The Mexican star joined Feyenoord from Cruz Azul in the summer of 2022 and had a wonderful debut season with 28 goals.

He was crucial to Feyenoord winning the Eredivisie and has replicated his form this term with 15 goals from as many games.

His development has caught the eye of both Chelsea and Arsenal. The London giants could go into a bidding war to sign him.

Feyenoord have not set any asking price for the marksman, but they are likely to demand at least €50 million for his services.

Both clubs are capable of meeting the asking price. Gimenez could prefer a move to the Gunners due to their current league position.

Mikel Arteta's side are currently just one point adrift of the top of the table while Chelsea are lying 12 points behind the summit.

The Gunners are also close to reaching the last 16 of the Champions League. The Blues are not in Europe this campaign.
