Chelsea planning three signings in January?

Chelsea could make as many as three signings when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.

The west London giants have had a dismal start to the campaign and they are currently 10th in the Premier League standings.

The club look likely to miss out on European football again unless they make a drastic improvement in the back end of the season.

Mauricio Pochettino has already hinted that the club could seek attacking reinforcements in January. It could become a reality.

A new striker is likely to be pursued with Nicolas Jackson yet to find his scoring touch. The club need an upgrade on him.

Other than that, a new centre-back could be targeted with Thiago Silva showing signs of regression over the past few games.

A new winger could also be pursued in the New Year, but it is the least of the club's priorities at the current point of time.

Pochettino could be backed with a transfer kitty of around £120m. Any further expense this winter may depend on sales.
