Chelsea star set to undergo surgery, out until April

Reece James news

James out with hamstring surgery

Chelsea captain Reece James is set to undergo a hamstring surgery and could be out of action until April, according to Daily Mail.

The England international recently returned from a hamstring injury lay-off but he lasted for only a few games before another setback.

The Blues are yet to provide the exact timescale for his absence but it is reported that he will undergo an operation for his injury.

As a result, James will be on the sidelines for three to four months which is a huge blow for the Blues, considering their poor league form.

The right-back has been one of their best players over the past few years and his creativity has created several goals for his teammates.

In his absence, Axel Disasi and Malo Gusto will need to step up to the plate, considering Marc Cucurella is out also for months.

The Spain international recently impressed from the right-back position for the Blues, but he has now undergone an ankle surgery.
