Amrabat to leave Man Utd after loan spell

Manchester United have decided against pursuing a permanent deal for Sofyan Amrabat at the end of the campaign.

The Red Devils were determined to land the Moroccan last summer and they waited until deadline day to sign him on loan.

The club paid a huge loan fee of €10m for the midfielder. As part of the deal, they can sign him permanently for €25m.

It is now reported by The Sun that manager Erik ten Hag is not convinced over his ability to play in the Premier League.

Amrabat has struggled to cope with the extra intensity of the division and he has been easily dispossessed in central midfield.

The former Club Brugge man lost possession on a staggering 16 occasions at Liverpool recently and won just one duels.

He failed to win any aerial challenges in the goalless draw and his blushes were saved by Kobbie Mainoo's brilliant display.

Hence, we are not surprised that Amrabat will be leaving Old Trafford when his temporary deal expires next summer.
