Dragusin set for Spurs

Genoa have agreed to sell defender Radu Dragusin to Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window, as the Romanian defender looks set for a Premier League transfer worth around £29 million. The defender will be thrust in to the first-team immediately, as injuries scupper the progress of Spurs' season so far.

21-year-old Dragusin has caught the eye since moving to Italy back in 2018 with Juventus; the team that helped him flourish to make his first professional game in 2022. From there on, with two loan spells at Sampdoria and Genoa, eventually Genoa persuaded Juve to sell their prospect for a fee of around 7 million euros. Juventus reserve around 25 percent of any profit from a future transfer.

Seen as one of the brightest young defender's in the world, Spurs will be beating the likes of Paris St Germain, Borussia Dortmund and Ajax to the Romanian's signature.

The player will fly in to North London for talks on the 16th of January, where he will undergo a medical should personal terms be agreed. This will be Spurs' first signing of the January transfer window.
