Man Utd duo absent to face Wigan tonight

Manchester United duo Christian Eriksen and Antony are missing from the matchday squad to face Wigan Athletic tonight.

Eriksen recently made his return to the starting XI for the Red Devils but he is not available for the FA Cup third round tie due to illness.

Meanwhile, Antony has also not made the trip to Lancashire, having picked up a hamstring injury in the last game at Nottingham Forest.

It was anticipated that he would be dropped to the bench, but the winger has not even made the matchday squad after his untimely blow.

United are clear favourites to beat the Latics, and Ten Hag will be expecting a resounding win by a margin of three or more goals tonight.

The Red Devils have a key league game against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend and Ten Hag could make some early substitutions.

With the injuries in the squad, the manager will want a comfortable game such that there are no fitness concerns for the Spurs clash.
