Jordan Henderson ready for Dutch move?

Former Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson, who is rumoured to be unhappy with the heat and humidity in Saudi Arabia, has been given an exit route to Ajax Amsterdam in the January transfer window. The Dutch club are seeking an experienced midfielder, and see Henderson as a possible signing this month.

Al-Ettifaq have endured a mixed start to the year, but Henderson has previously complained that the small crowds - on average 7000 spectators per game - seems to indicate that interest in football in Saudi Arabia is waning. Henderson is known to return to England at every available opportunity and is now ready to depart for pastures new after just a few months of playing in Saudi Arabia.

The Dutch club have been quoted 7 million euros to sign Henderson on a permanent basis, so a loan deal could be possible. The former Liverpool midfielder has also been linked with a move to Chelsea, but the player's loyalty to the Anfield club has never been in question, and Henderson is said to be not interested in a move to Stamford Bridge.
