Erik ten Hag confirms double Man Utd injury boost for Spurs game

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed a double injury boost ahead of Sunday's Premier League encounter against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Red Devils are currently eighth in the league standings with 31 points, nine adrift of Arsenal and Manchester City, who are fourth and third.

They can't afford anymore slip-ups in the race for Champions League football and will be aiming to beat Spurs in front of their fans on Sunday evening.

Ahead of the game, Ten Hag has provided good news on the fitness front. Christian Eriksen is expected to return after a brief spell out with illness.

Aside from the Denmark international, the Dutchman confirmed that Luke Shaw will also be available for the game following his hamstring issue.

Eriksen is widely anticipated to make the starting XI, though Shaw could be eased into action, considering his long list of injuries over the years.

United face a must-win game versus Tottenham at home. A defeat could see the gap to the fourth spot extend to as much as 12 points.
