Mauricio Pochettino reacts to Evan Ferguson speculation
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has responded to the speculation linking Evan Ferguson with a move to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are on the look out for a new striker this year and they have recently been linked with a big-money move for Brighton star.
When pressed on the speculation, Pochettino said: "You know very well I don't talk about rumours or players that are in a different club."
"We are assessing the squad and if something happens we will communicate that to you. I never said we need a centre-forward."
The Blues picked up a fourth win in five league games after beating Fulham at Craven Cottage. A solitary penalty goal sealed the win.
The club could have scored plenty of more goals with the chances created and they need to improve in this aspect over the coming months.
Despite the win, the Blues are nine points adrift of the top four and have plenty of work to do in order to close the gap before the season ends.
