Man Utd remain interested in signing Feyenoord striker

Manchester United remain interested in signing Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez later this year.

The Mexican has been in blistering form for the Eredivisie holders and he has already registered 20 goals and five assists this season.

Feyenoord have no desire to part ways with his services this month, but there is a realistic possibility that he could leave this summer.

Amidst this, it is reported that United have been keeping a close eye on his progress and could swoop for his services in the off-season.

They are not alone in the pursuit, however, with Arsenal and Chelsea also among admirers of the 22-year-old, who has been in splendid touch.

Gimenez has a dream of playing in the Premier League, but a transfer won't come on the cheap. Feyenoord are expected to demand €60 million.

United can't afford him at the moment with Financial Fair Play issues, but the scenario will be different in the summer after the TV revenue.
