Arsenal & Man Utd interested in signing Bayern star

Arsenal are set to go head-to-head with Manchester United in the race to sign Bayern Munich striker Mathys Tel this summer.

Tel joined the Bavarian giants from Rennes last season, but he has yet to become a regular starter for the club in any competition.

He has played just over 1400 minutes over the last 18 months and he is currently contemplating a move away from Munich.

United have already made contact with his representatives over a transfer, but the Gunners are now set to provide competition for him.

Tel still has three years remaining on his contract with Bayern. His future at the club could depend on the next manager at the helm.

Thomas Tuchel is set to leave Bayern at the end of the season. Tel's future could be decided by the new head coach this summer.

If Bayern were to consider his departure, the likes of Arsenal and United may have to pay a fee of at least €50 million.
