Real Madrid want to re-sign Man Utd star?

Real Madrid are contemplating the prospect of re-signing Raphael Varane from Manchester United this summer.

The World Cup winner has had an injury-plagued career with the Red Devils and the club are reluctant to extend his contract beyond June.

It looks likely that he will walk away on a free transfer and Fichajes claim that Los Blancos may attempt to re-sign him.

The La Liga giants are set to make a huge outlay on Kylian Mbappe this summer. They will hand him a record signing-on fee.

On top of this, the club are also lining up an approach for a young midfielder. Joao Neves is one of the top names on their radar.

With this in mind, Los Blancos are wary of spending big on a centre-back and they could instead hand a short-term contract to Varane.

Carlo Ancelotti's side are likely to halt their plan of landing a young central defender until the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
