Arsenal in the front row to sign 36-goal striker
Arsenal are reportedly in the front row to sign Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres this summer.
The Gunners are on the look out for a marquee centre-forward and they have been linked with several names.
Among those, Gyokeres is the most high-profile target, considering he has already scored 36 goals this term.
The Swede has also accumulated 14 assists for his club this campaign. The Gunners are deemed favourites to land him.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the striker has a release clause worth €100m, but could be sold for less.
They claim that the player could be available for €50m, though Sporting could increase the price in the summer.
Gyokeres is unlikely to force a summer exit, but reports claim that Sporting will grant him his dream move to England.
Chelsea are also interested in his services, but the Gunners should be favourites due to Champions League football.
The Blues are currently 11th in the league standings and may not even qualify for any European competition next term.
