Aston Villa to sign Sidwell?

Despite reports from Sidwell himself that he would like to stay at Chelsea for the forseeable future, it appears that Aston Villa have agreed terms with Chelsea to sign the player this summer.

A fee of around £7 million has been agreed with Chelsea, and now Sidwell will be given a chance to prove himself in the Premiership with the Villains after his lack of first team opportunities with Chelsea this year.

Since joining from Reading, Sidwell has found his first-team opportunities limited behind the likes of Claude Makelele, Frank Lampard, Michael Essien and Michael Ballack.
