Man Utd handed boost with forgotten star back in training

Manchester United have been handed a huge boost with Anthony Martial back in training after his groin surgery.

The Frenchman has had another injury-plagued campaign and he has not featured for the Red Devils since December.

United were expecting him to return after his operation in April, but his recovery has taken much longer than predicted.

Erik ten Hag has now confirmed that the versatile star has returned to partial training and could be involved before the season ends.

Martial is unlikely to make the trip to Crystal Palace, but could be involved in some capacity against Arsenal at home next weekend.

The former Monaco man is currently contracted to United until June, and the club have opted against triggering an extension clause.

Hence, he is widely expected to leave on a free transfer. There are claims that he could end up joining another Premier League outfit.

Tottenham Hotspur are said to be interested in his services.
