Arsenal enter race to sign 25-goal striker

Dovbyk to Arsenal?

Arsenal have reportedly entered the race to sign Girona striker Artem Dovbyk this summer.

The Ukrainian was in superb form for the La Liga outfit last season. He scored 25 goals and provided 10 assists in all competitions.

His form has caught the eye of the Gunners and Diari de Girona claim that they are weighing up a potential approach for his services.

The same outlet claim that Girona are aware of the increasing interest, but they are unlikely to provide a discount on the 26-year-old.

Dovbyk currently has a release clause between €40-50 million based on the league and Girona are eyeing something close to that figure.

Arsenal are determined to sign a striker with a scoring presence. Dovbyk would be a clever signing due to his presence in the box.

The Ukrainian converted almost 30 per cent of his shots into goals last term. This is much higher than anyone in the Arsenal squad.

He would be a quality signing for the club without breaking the bank.
