Arsenal want to sign 21yo Dutch winger on loan

Arsenal are reportedly interested in landing Paris Saint-Germain winger Xavi Simons on loan this summer.

The Netherlands international rejoined Les Parisiens from PSV last summer and he was immediately loaned out to Leipzig.

Simons had a good campaign with 25 goal contributions and he is now expected to leave on another temporary deal.

Caught Offside claim that Mikel Arteta's side have contacted Les Parisiens regarding the same and they await Simons' decision.

Simons has the desire to join Barcelona for the 2024/25 season, but the Catalan giants are in no position to sign him.

A return to Leipzig could be another preference for the Dutchman compared to making the move to the Gunners.

The 21-year-old may not the assurance of regular playing time which is far from guaranteed with the north London giants.

Bukayo Saka is a nailed-on starter on the right wing while Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli are vying for the left wing role.

Simons may have to play second fiddle to Saka if he joins Arsenal.
