Arsenal & Chelsea want to sign Euro 2024 star

Arsenal and Chelsea are both interested in signing Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams during the current transfer window.

Williams is one of the best wingers in the Spanish top-flight, and he had a brilliant 2023/24 campaign with eight goals and 19 assists.

His progress has caught the eye of elite European clubs and The Athletic claim that Arsenal and Chelsea are in the mix for him.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta would be interested in bringing him to the club if the hierarchy wish to sign another wide attacking star.

Williams currently has a release clause worth £47m in his contract, but a transfer would largely depend on his own preference.

He has the desire to link up with his close friend Lamine Yamal at Barcelona, but the La Liga giants are in financial distress.

They can't afford to land his signature anytime soon and this could pave the way for Arsenal or Chelsea to persuade him into a transfer.
