Chelsea make approach for La Liga goalkeeper, Petrovic to be sold
Chelsea have made an approach to sign Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues currently have Robert Sanchez, Djordje Petrovic and Kepa Arrizabalaga as their senior goalkeeping options.
However, Petrovic and Arrizabalaga are expected to be sold and the Blues want a quality competitor alongside Sanchez.
Jorgensen, who is currently the number one at Villarreal, has been identified as a candidate to fulfil the role under Enzo Maresca.
The 22-year-old made 143 saves in 36 starts for the Spanish outfit last term. He had a passing accuracy of around 78 percent.
Despite the positives, Jorgensen has been error prone too. He made three errors leading to shots and also conceded a penalty.
He is far from a complete goalkeeper at the moment and it comes as a surprise that the Blues are looking to land his services.
Apart from Jorgensen, the Blues hold an interest in Leicester City goalkeeper Mads Hermansen, who is valued at £45 million.
