Chelsea extremely confident of selling Conor Gallagher

Chelsea are extremely confident of selling midfielder Conor Gallagher amid interest from Atletico Madrid, according to Teamtalk.

The England international has entered the last year of his contract with the Blues and he has yet to be offered fresh terms to renew.

The Blues are anticipating his departure for £40m. Atletico have yet to match their demands, but the London club are growingly optimistic.

Enzo Maresca's side believe Gallagher will eventually head for the exit door with manager Diego Simeone keen on working with him.

Should Gallagher head for the exit door, the Blues could make a surprise swoop for Andreas Pereira, who is currently with Fulham.

Pereira has established himself as a key player for the Cottagers, but he could be prised away for a fee of around £30m, as per reports.

The 28-year-old has already given the green light for a transfer. Chelsea could move for him as soon as Gallagher's exit is confirmed.
