Arsenal enter race to sign striker who has rejected Chelsea
Arsenal have entered the race to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who has rejected a move to Chelsea, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The Nigerian star netted 17 goals for the Serie A outfit last term and he is now determined to secure a new challenge away from the club.
Paris Saint-Germain recently made an offer worth €90m for the striker, but Napoli are looking for a fee closer to the €130m release clause.
The French champions are unlikely to make a renewed approach, but it is claimed that the Gunners could have a say in the pursuit.
The Gunners are eyeing a marquee centre-forward and it is claimed that they are prepared to break in with a formal approach for Osimhen.
Chelsea have also explored a part-exchange deal involving Romelu Lukaku, but Osimhen has turned down the chance to join them.
Arsenal have so far signed David Raya and Riccardo Calafiori. They are currently in advanced talks to land Real Sociedad's Mikel Merino.
