Chelsea will announce signing of Portuguese star tomorrow

Chelsea are expected to announce the signing of Portuguese winger Pedro Neto on Sunday, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Blues reached an agreement to sign the Wolves attacker yesterday and he has now undergone his medical with the club.

Chelsea host Inter Milan in their final pre-season friendly tomorrow and they are expected to introduce Neto at Stamford Bridge.

Neto had a decent 2023/24 season with Wolves, making 13 goal contributions from 24 appearances across all competitions.

He had a tough time with plenty of injuries and that could be a potential concern for the Blues in the upcoming season.

Neto has missed close to 100 games for club and country with injuries since his arrival in the Premier League with Wolves.

This has been a reason behind the lack of concrete interest from Arsenal, who were previously long-term admirers of him.

The Gunners were reluctant to pay £52m for an injury-prone star, but Chelsea have decided to take the risk with him.
