Man Utd midfielder left out of squad to face Porto
Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount has been left out of the travelling squad to face Porto in the Europa League.
The England international has had a difficult United career and he has been hampered by multiple injuries over the last 16 months.
Mount recently recovered from a hamstring injury to make his comeback, but he will now miss the Porto game with a cut on his head.
The former Chelsea man was a first-half substitute against Spurs last weekend, but he was replaced after the unfortunate blow.
Mount has not suffered any kind of concussion, but United have decided against taking a risk. He will recover in Manchester instead.
In the absence of Mount, there is a surprise call-up for Dan Gore, who captained the Under-21s against Hertha Berlin on Tuesday night.
The youngster has been rewarded with a berth in the squad, but it is unlikely that he will make a competitive appearance tomorrow.
Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte are expected to start in central midfield with Bruno Fernandes operating from the number 10 position.
