Chelsea handed boost as Liverpool suffer double injury blow

Chelsea have been handed a huge boost ahead of their Premier League clash against Liverpool on the road later this month.
The Blues take on Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge before the international break. On their return, they will travel to Anfield to face the current leaders.
Ahead of that game, they have been handed a boost with Reds manager Arne Slot confirming injuries for Alisson and Alexis Mac Allister.
The former picked up a hamstring issue during the second half at Crystal Palace and Slot has admitted that he could be out for a few weeks.
He said on Alisson: "We have to wait and see, but it is going to take a few weeks I assume for him to be back. I think it is [his hamstring]."
The Dutchman added that it is difficult to judge the nature of the injury sustained by Mac Allister, he added: "He went off because of an injury, but how bad it is is difficult for me to judge in this moment."
Liverpool have exceeded expectations during the early part of the campaign and they are currently top of the table with 18 points.
The Merseyside giants have been helped by an easier schedule on paper and they face a huge challenge after the international break.
The Reds will come up against Chelsea and Arsenal in the league later this month where their title credentials could be tested.
