Arsenal defender suffered knee injury against Southampton
Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu could be sidelined for a month after suffering a recurrence of his knee injury against Southampton.
The Japan international suffered a knee problem in pre-season training with the Gunners and he only returned to training earlier this month.
Tomiyasu came on as a second-half substitute against the Saints recently, but TeamTALK claim that he has now suffered another setback.
Arsenal fear that the former Bologna man could be sidelined for a month. The news is a potential blow for the Gunners ahead of the restart.
The Gunners were without Jurrien Timber, Ben White and Oleksandr Zinchenko with injuries prior to the recent international break.
Timber and White were involved in team training in the lead-up to the Saints game. They should be fit to face Bournemouth on Saturday.
However, Zinchenko may not return in time with reports suggesting that he could be out for another four weeks with a muscular concern.
