Arsenal set to assess injured winger ahead of Bournemouth game
Arsenal are set to assess the fitness of Gabriel Martinelli ahead of the Premier League clash against Bournemouth on the road.
The Gunners have had a fantastic start to the league campaign and they have picked up 17 points from their opening seven games.
Martinelli had a slow beginning to the season, but his form was superb before the international break with four goal involvements in four games.
The Brazilian was unable to play against Peru last night due to a muscle edema in his right calf and he is now doubtful to face the Cherries.
Martinelli is due to return to London Colney tomorrow and he is set to be assessed by the medical staff ahead of the weekend encounter.
Mikel Arteta should provide an injury update on the 23-year-old as well as Bukayo Saka, who suffered a hamstring injury scare last week.
Saka only picked up a minor knock according to England manager Lee Carsley and he is expected to be fit in time for the away game.
