Chelsea interested in signing 20yo PL striker

Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in signing Brighton & Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson during the winter transfer window.

The 20-year-old is considered as one of the best emerging strikers in the Premier League, but he has barely made progress in recent months.

The youngster has fallen out-of-favour under new manager Fabian Hurzeler, who has preferred to lead the attack with Danny Welbeck instead.

Ferguson is far from pleased by his situation and Teamtalk claim that he could push for a new challenge away from the club in the New Year.

Chelsea are one of the clubs keeping tabs on the highly-rated Ireland international, but it remains to be seen whether they make a move.

Brighton have been holding out for £100 million for their prized asset, but they may have to lower their demands amid his reduced game time.

Manchester United and Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in Ferguson, who has started just one Premier League game this term.
