Arne Slot confirms major Liverpool boost for Girona clash

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has confirmed a major injury boost with goalkeeper Alisson Becker fit to face Girona in the Champions League tomorrow.

The Merseyside giants have had a fantastic season under Slot and they are currently top of the league standings with 35 points on the board.

The Reds have also been exceptional in Europe. They have won each of their five games in the Champions League campaign with relative ease.

Speaking ahead of tomorrow's game against Girona, Slot confirmed that Alisson is back in full team training and will face the La Liga outfit.

He said: "Yes, he is. I think it speaks for itself if you can play with Alisson, [who] has been so outstanding. [It] is definitely nice to have him back and to have him available."

Alisson's arrival is expected to see Caoimhin Kelleher drop to the bench. He made a high-profile error in the last game as Newcastle United grabbed a late equaliser at St James' Park.
