Arsenal prepared to spend £100m on new striker
Arsenal are prepared to spend £100 million on a new centre-forward, according to Daily Mail.
The Gunners have had a frustrating Premier League campaign and they are currently six points behind leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand.
The club are unlikely to make any marquee signings in the current transfer window and could wait until the summer for major transfer dealings.
It is now reported that Arsenal could prioritise a new striker in the summer and they could be prepared to spend as much as £100m.
Newcastle United's Alexander Isak has been heavily linked with a transfer, but there is no guarantee that the Magpies will consider his departure.
He has a contract until the summer of 2028. The Tyneside outfit will be in a strong position to keep him if they qualify for the Champions League.
If they miss out on qualification, it could open up the opportunity for Arsenal to sign the Sweden international during the summer.
