Antonio Conte has spoken with Man Utd attacker

Napoli manager Antonio Conte has spoken directly with Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho regarding a potential transfer to Serie A.

The Naples outfit recently sanctioned the sale of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain and they are eyeing a solid replacement.

Garnacho has been identified as the priority target for Conte and Fabrizio Romano claims that the duo spoke on the phone on Friday.

The 20-year-old is not actively pushing to leave the Red Devils, but he has not ruled out the prospect of pursuing a new challenge this winter.

United have also not closed the door on his exit. They want around £65 million to sanction his sale. Napoli are yet to meet the price.

Napoli have not given up on their pursuit and they could make a renewed approach to sign the Argentina international in the coming days.

The Italian outfit are likely to face competition from Chelsea, who have made direct contact with United and are expected to hold more talks.
