Queiroz important to Ronaldo

Sir Alex Ferguson believes that assistant coach Carlos Queiroz could be an important ally for Man Utd aas they seek to tie the Portuguese player down to a new deal at the club. Queiroz has reportedly been offered a number of job opportunities this summer.

Sir Alex feels that Queiroz's experience at Real Madrid could put Ronaldo off a transfer to the Galacticos.

"Carlos has the experience of being at Real Madrid," said Ferguson. "That is helping us now with all the nonsense we have to talk about. Carlos' experience means he can advise Cristiano quite well about that kind of club. That is a plus point for us."
