Man Utd prepared to pay €30m to sign 17yo wonderkid
Manchester United are prepared to pay €30 million to sign Sporting Lisbon wonderkid Geovany Quenda this summer, according to O Jogo.
The Red Devils are expected to go on a spending spree later this year and a new right wing-back is reportedly one of the top priorities for manager Ruben Amorim.
Amorim has his sights on reuniting with Quenda and reports claim that United have already entered concrete talks with the player's entourage over a summer move.
Quenda has given the green light to join the Red Devils. United are expected to make a formal bid soon. They will offer to pay around €30 million for him.
Sporting could demand a much higher fee for their graduate, considering the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Bayern Munich are also monitoring the 17-year-old.
United are still optimistic of winning the race and are expected to open negotiations early in order to find an agreement ahead of their European rivals.
